Miss Max (Supatronix) is one of door.s most loved DJs on the London scene and it is with great sorrow that she has decided to move back to Oz and continue the breaks movement at home in Melbourne.

Never Grow Up are lucky enough to of bagged Max for her final set outside of the Suaptronix brand, we caught up with her post SupaT’s 6th birthday shenanigans and blasted some pertinent quessies!

So Max, what have you been up to today?

Today's been manic!! I wasn't even gonna come into work...had our shipping boxes picked up this morning (10 in total)...still recovering from a massive Supatonix 6th Birthday Party on Friday. As usual we had a huge 1 continuing on to the System Supatronix show on NSB radio. That's how many hours without sleep? Ask Pip, he was there ;)

What type of music where you jumping around your room in as a kid?

Smashing Pumpkins, No Doubt, Pearl Jam, Tori Amos, Rage Against the Machine, Chilli Peppers, Silverchair
My parents were hippies so I was exposed to and still love folk music and jazz, things like Paul Simon, The Police, Sade, The Stones, The Cruel Sea, Bonnie Raitt, James Taylor, Eric Clapton, Joni Mitchell and of course classical music...I played classical piano too and LOVE Shostakovich and Gershwin and I've been to see Tori Amos 3 times.
I grew up without a TV as well, so I listened to radio a lot. I used to be a regular on the after school request show calling up the local radio, but I honestly can't remember which songs I requested - probably New Kids On The Block because I didn't know anything else.

It is sad news to hear that your set at Never Grow Up will be the last set outside Supatronix in London before you jet back home to Australia :0( When’s our very last chance so we can put it in our diaries!?!

I have 2 more Supa Ts with my official send off happening on the 26th of June @ Herbal. I fly out to New York at 6 pm the next day. So hopefully you can make at least 1 to send me off in true break beat style.

For sure!.. So what's your time been like in the big smoke?

What has my time in London been like???!?! Let’s see...I became a DJ, travelled Europe, met the most amazing people in my life so far and worked and played like a true London professional - HARD!

What will you miss the most in London, and what can’t you wait to get away from?

I will miss the diversity of people, and the ability a large population has to support multiple scenes as well as its proximity to Europe. Snowboarding, clubbing in a sweaty dark club, my friends, Supatronix....
I will NOT miss the crowds, queuing, the lack of customer service, bad coffee (for a real coffee check out Flat White in Berwick st Soho), the lack of sunshine

We hear your going to be taking the Supatronix brand and launching it back in Oz.. You looking forward to it? Do you think your homies will love it off as much as the breakbeat supporters of the UK?

I am so excited about launching Supatronix in Melbourne! Before I left Melbourne 5 years ago, breakbeat was the main genre in clubs, it was mainstage, in fact it kept the UK scene bubbling away. Apparently now there aren't as many djs playing breaks and they've all moved away from the genre, so I'm really looking forward to bringing it back in a big way!

What are your big tunes for the summer? Any producers you’re keeping tabs on?

Adsorb is doing some amazing remixes - killer bass lines. Hypertension and Access Denied...Drumattic Twins, General Midi and keep your ears peeled for Jurassik's new 1 which is the 1st release on Supatronix Records - How to Pick Up Chicks.
